At The Story Bean we believe in the power of your story, and our mission is to provide a space where all stories can be told. The power of telling and listening to stories isn’t magic, its science! Humans have connected, formed bonds and built common understandings and communities through narrative storytelling since the beginning of human civilizations.
The human experience varies wildly, and yet, the further we reach around the globe to connect with other people, the more commonalities we find.
At The Story Bean we embrace and celebrate the diversity of each of our human experiences, while we also seek to find the commonalities that unite us.
Sharing stories about our lives and experiences may feel like a small thing, but it’s one of the most powerful ways to change the world, one story at a time.

Meet the Host
A writer of words and teller of stories, Amber Pechin is a storyteller and entertainer who has vowed to only use her powers for good. She can usually be found using these powers on stage as a standup comedian & improv player, writing for very serious business clients, or while gathered around her kitchen table with her teenagers and all the deserved eye rolls.
She loves humans (they are delicious) and believes the secret to world peace was best summed up by the great Bill and Ted of San Dimas California when they said, “Be excellent to each other.”
When she’s not telling stories you can find her nerding out about behavioral economics, writing her (eventually forthcoming/almost finished) parenting book (Strategic Neglect: The Art of #Winning at Parenting) or traveling in her adventure van with her dog and director of HR, Susan.
As Head Storyteller and all-around nerd at Amplitude Media Amber builds brands, websites, and big ideas. Her specialty is crafting compelling brand stories about complicated topics for clients in highly technical, scientific, or academic industries. She believes harnessing the power of stories is the best way to help customers connect with brands while remembering and understanding complex ideas.
She launched The Story Bean in spring of 2022 as a way to build a community weirdos (her favorite flavor of human) after moving to Albuquerque in the spring of 2021.
